About me
With over 25 years of experience in education, Sara has cultivated a distinguished career marked by versatility, leadership, and a deep commitment to student success. A proud graduate of New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire, she holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Behavioral Studies, as well as a master’s degree in Special Education.
Sara’s teaching experience spans Kindergarten through 8th grade across general and special education settings, including co-taught classrooms, resource and specialized placements, and residential programs. Her expertise extends beyond the classroom, having served in pivotal roles such as Educational Diagnostician, Special Education Coordinator, Legal and Policy Specialist, and Parent Mentor.
Currently, Sara leads Special Education Professional Learning for Hall County, where she designs and implements high-impact training and support for educators across the district. Her work reflects a deep understanding of both instructional practice and policy, and a passion for empowering educators to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
Outside of her professional work, Sara is a dedicated mother of three and an active advocate for inclusive opportunities. She serves on the executive boards of Angelfish Adaptive Aquatics and Dream Runners Adaptive Running, organizations committed to supporting individuals with disabilities through adaptive sports and recreation.
