About me
Angel was born in Hoboken, New Jersey, but raised in Miami, Florida. He is of Cuban and Puerto-Rican descent, with a fond love for ALL Latin food! For almost four decades, Angel has had the honor of joyfully serving families and students as an elementary classroom teacher, family engagement specialist, middle and high school administrator, and currently serving as the principal of Lyman Hall Elementary. He was recognized as the 2023-24 National Latino Principal of the Year by ALA (Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents). He and his wife have been married for 27 years and served together as foster parents and trainers for 10 amazing years. They also received the 2011 Georgia AGAPE Good Samaritan Service Award. They have four children, two of whom blessed our lives through the miracle of adoption. Every minute they've ever spent pursuing this mission work has been absolute bliss, and they look forward to more each day!
